Donation / Tip Jar
Let people support free tools without putting them behind a paywall.
Free tools in the portfolio had no way to accept voluntary support, and setting up payment links per project wasn't practical at scale.
A public deployment is available to try.
Case Study
Before
Open-source and free tools in the portfolio had no way to receive voluntary contributions. Setting up payment links across 100+ projects was impractical with traditional payment processors.
After
Enabled monetization of free tools without paywalls or ads. The tip jar provides a non-intrusive way for users to support work while keeping all tools freely accessible.
How it's solved
Built a customizable tip jar page with preset amounts, custom amount input, message from supporter, and a public wall of thanks. Uses Stripe Payment Links for frictionless one-click donations.
Trade-offs
No recurring or subscription tipping yet — only one-off contributions.
